Apple updates Macbook

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Earlier today, Apple released a (heavy) update to the white macbook. This update gives the Macbook the laptop the same specs as the new aluminum macbooks that were released last October. For the same $1000, you can get a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR2 Apple RAM, a Geforce 9400m, and a 120GB hard drive.

I’ll update later, I’m at school right now.

The Last MacWorld.

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

As every Apple fanboy knows, next week will be the last year the company will be at the MacWorld Expo. Can Apple make this last one the best? According to various MacSites across the internet, a lot can show up on Tuesday.

Many people are expecting an update to the Mac Mini, a preview of OS X 10.6, and iWork to become web-based. Unfortunately, NTC will be unable to cover MacWorld 2009, as our only editor will be at school during the day.

We will however, post the announcements onsite.

Can anyone come up with their own ideas anymore?

This morning I was looking at Gibson’s website to see if anything cool had come out yet. As I was looking, I got one of those “Why does this look so familiar?” moments. Then it hit me, I was looking at an Apple clone! In this case however, it wasn’t a computer rip-off. Now Microsoft isn’t the only company copying Apple, Gibson is doing it too.

MacWorld 2009

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

If you haven’t heard yet, Apple’s decided to drop MacWorld Expo. This means that next year’s will be the last, and if you’re a Mac fan, this means no more exciting announcements right? Wrong. Apple still has their own events to show stuff off at, including the famous WWDC.

What does this mean for us? Absolutely nothing. We still get to see the cool Apple stuff come out and criticize the hell out of it. So in the mean-time, Verizon sucks.

I have too many wires!

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

My computer desk is a place where OCD people would have aneurysms. There isn’t much clutter, but there are wires everywhere! The wires aren’t very good looking, but that isn’t why I don’t like them. They keep on tangling up and sagging, which causes my mouse and speaker to be pulled behind my desk. All-in-all, my desk holds wires to: my webcam, microphone, keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, monitor PS, computer PS, cell phone charger, amp PS, guitar, joystick, power strip, and my clock. This why I love the iMac, the best all-in-one ever (The XPS one isn’t powerful enough, and I don’t like touch screen monitors). Also, when you break it down, the iMac is actually cheaper than pretty much every other PC on the market (with those specs). That’s it for now, I‘m gonna clean up my desk now.
